Once upon a time we developed a nice little activity that dissected the image at the top of the page. Sadly we’ve lost it… it was once on schoolhistory.co.uk but the resource section is no longer open there. If anyone has a copy please let us know via comments. In essence it turned the image into a jigsaw and analysed each section piece bu piece. The pieces could then be put together to form a full understanding of the meaning and purpose of the source. It worked very well as a source analysis activity.
